Endowed scholarship at Middlesex College

That interpersonal approach to giving is what also characterizes the Dalal Family Foundation’s philanthropic relationship with Middlesex College, which began in 2017 when it established an endowed scholarship for students seeking business degrees. The Dalal Family Foundation has given generously over the past 5 years, providing both immediate scholarship awards and long-term investment to preserve an endowment for future students.

Shady Rest Senior Center Renovation

Nayan and Bindu Dalal, both Scotch Plains residents, contacted the Township to see how their family foundation could best benefit residents. After meeting with Mayor Smith and Township Manager Mirabella, they determined that donating furniture for use by senior citizens at the Shady Rest Clubhouse would be an appropriate way to give back.

Boys Scouts Story Summary

The Good Scouts award was presented to Nayan Dalal at the 5th annual Fanwood Scotch Plains Good Scouts Awards Dinner hosted by the Patriots Path Council BSA in June 2023.

The award recognizes citizens for their positive contributions and service to their community. It honors leaders in the Scotch Plains and Fanwood communities for embodying the core values of Scouting in their professional and personal lives.

Support for City of Plainfield, NJ, USA

TLI Home’s team of 45 employees spent a Day of Caring at Milt Campbell Field in the city of Plainfield. The volunteers spent most of the afternoon focusing on the park’s beautification, providing fresh coats of paint to the public bathroom, disposing of trash around the park, clearing walking paths and planting flowers.

More recently, TLI Home has made monetary donation to the City of Plainfield to purchase new park benches, planters and a message board for the park.
