Supporting Inclusive Sports for Children with Special Needs

The Dalal Family Foundation has been proudly supporting AWMH Maharashtra for several years in hosting the Maharashtra State Cricket Tournament for Special Schools. This annual event brings together young athletes from across the state, providing them with a vibrant platform to showcase their talents, build confidence, and experience the joy of sports in a safe and inclusive environment.

Our support includes providing sports equipment, recognition awards, and sponsorship for the tournament’s organization, ensuring that every child feels a sense of pride, participation, and achievement. A key focus of the tournament is inclusivity, with initiatives such as gender inclusion and opportunities for children of all ability levels to participate meaningfully.

Through this long-standing partnership, the Dalal Family Foundation continues to promote dignity, empowerment, and holistic development among children with special needs. We believe in the transformative power of sports—not only to build skills and confidence but also to foster community, teamwork, and joy for every participant.

The Dalal Family Foundation is proud to support Scouting, helping young people build leadership, service, and character for life. Our support provides program resources in leadership, outdoor adventure, STEM, and community service, as well as financial aid so every Scout can participate, regardless of background. Through these opportunities, youth gain confidence, resilience, and teamwork. By investing in Scouting, the Foundation is investing in future leaders who will dream big, serve others, and make a positive impact in their communities.

TLI Home’s team spent a Day of Caring at Milt Campbell Field in the city of Plainfield. The volunteers spent most of the afternoon focusing on the park’s beautification, providing fresh coats of paint to the public bathroom, disposing of trash around the park, clearing walking paths and planting flowers. On the service day, Plainfield Mayor Adrian Mapp and Chief of Staff Jazz Clayton-Hunt welcomed TLI Home’s team and expressed their gratitude to Nayan Dalal and his family on behalf of the City of Plainfield. More recently, TLI Home has made monetary donation to the City of Plainfield to purchase new park benches, planters and a message board for the park.

The Dalal Family has provided financial support to fund improvements in the All Purpose Room at Edison, New Jersey’s Wardlaw+Hartridge School. Recent upgrades to this space include new tables and chairs, serving stations and improved lighting. This All Purpose room is used as a cafeteria for 450 students and 100 faculty and staff members daily, and it’s often rented out to the community for various events. In June 2025, the room was renamed the Dalal Family All Purpose Room.

Juhu Creative Garden is a flagship community initiative of the Dalal Family Foundation in Mumbai, India. Over the past decade, it has been thoughtfully nurtured into a vibrant green space that promotes healthy living, recreation, and meaningful community connections across 14 surrounding residential societies.

Today, the garden stands as a lively hub in the Juhu neighborhood, welcoming people of all ages who regularly use its facilities and contribute to its energetic and inclusive atmosphere.

The garden offers a wide range of amenities and activities, including a children’s play area, badminton and cricket courts, yoga sessions, a walking track, and a newly added pickleball court. Together, these create a space where individuals can stay active, unwind, and connect with one another.

Beyond recreation, Juhu Creative Garden also serves as a center for community celebration. Festivals such as Republic Day and Holi are joyfully observed here, bringing residents together and strengthening bonds through shared traditions and experiences.
