Women Empowerment

The Dalal Family Foundation works to expand opportunities for girls and women so they can learn, grow, and lead. We support girls’ education, fund schools that focus on equal access, and provide training programs that help women—including those with disabilities—gain skills for financial independence.

Our efforts also include initiatives that promote health, build resilience, and strengthen decision-making. By encouraging confidence and self-reliance, the Foundation helps women and girls follow their ambitions and play an active role in their families and communities.

Jyotiben Dalal Disabled Women Empowerment Project, Bhavnagar, Gujarat

Disabled women in rural areas face many difficulties when it comes to education, professional training, and earning a livelihood. They are considered a liability to society and live in miserable conditions.

In an effort to improve their precarious conditions, develop confidence and make them economically independent, The Dalal Family Foundation is supporting the Disabled Women Empowerment Project (Jyotiben Dalal Viklang Mahila Sashaktikaran Yojna) under which these women get trained in sewing, beauty parlor treatments and computers. Financing is given to these women for the purchase of sewing machines and beauty parlor kits, thereby making it convenient to start a small business.
