The Dalal Family Foundation brings people together and supports communities in both the U.S. and India. We invest in education, innovation, and shared spaces that give young entrepreneurs opportunities, improve learning environments, and help families in times of loss.
We also back civic initiatives and local partnerships that build pride, resilience, and unity. Through these efforts, the Foundation strengthens connections and helps create communities that are compassionate and forward-looking.
The Dalal Family has provided financial support to fund improvements in the All Purpose Room at The Wardlaw+Hartridge School. Recent upgrades to this space, which is used as a cafeteria for 450 students and 100 faculty and staff members daily, include: new tables and chairs, serving stations and improved lighting. In June 2025, the room was renamed the Dalal Family All Purpose Room.
The Wardlaw+Hartridge School celebrated the establishment of The Dalal Entrepreneurship and Technology Program Endowment with a kickoff event on June 16 in the Oakwood Room. Mr. Nayan Dalal and Mrs. Bindu Dalal, who are funding the program, attended with their son, W+H alumnus Aditya Dalal ’14.
The purposes of The Dalal Entrepreneurship and Technology Program Endowment are many, including Upper School courses and related curricular enhancements in Lower and Middle School that will expand students’ creative problem solving, critical thinking, logical reasoning, business acumen and technological skill sets which can be used to solve real-world challenges.
As an entrepreneur who runs a successful home décor and textile company, Mr. Dalal is proud to support future entrepreneurs. He also embraces the power of education.
“College students are doing start-ups and many younger people are becoming entrepreneurs,” Mr. Dalal said. “We are living in the era of rapid technological advancement. “We believe that fostering the culture of technology innovation and entrepreneurship in the high school years can unlock the potential of young minds and empower them to drive meaningful changes.”
The Dalal Family Foundation is proud to support Imagine, a local grief support center for children, young adults and families dealing with the death of a parent, sibling or child. Financial support from the foundation helps Imagine provide free peer grief support year-round for as long as needed. Imagine currently serves more than 300 participants from 55 towns in its Mountainside, New Jersey center every two weeks. The foundation firmly believes in the importance of Imagine’s role in transforming grief and loss into resilience, empathy and compassion.
On the volunteer clean-up day, Mayor Adrian O. Mapp and Plainfield Chief of Staff Jazz Clayton-Hunt welcomed TLI Homes Founder & CEO Mr. Nayan Dalal and his wife, Mrs. Bindu Dalal, to express their gratitude on behalf of the City of Plainfield for their generosity.
