Middlesex County College, NJ, USA
The Dalal Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship established in 2017 awards scholarships to eligible students majoring in Business, Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management and Marketing. Students must meet the criteria of demonstrated financial need and a minimum 3.25 GPA. The most qualified candidates are identified by a selection committee of the college faculty and staff.
South Plainfield High School, NJ, USA
The Dalal Family Foundation is supporting the scholarship program at South Plainfield High School of South Plainfield, New Jersey. The scholarship is awarded to qualified students who have demonstrated financial need and meet the criteria of "Discipline and Academic Excellence", to realize their dream of advancing their education beyond high school.
The school of Liberal Arts was introduced to and welcomed into the family of the prestigious Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Sciences University(NMIMS) in Mumbai in August 2016 and became the youngest yet consequential part of the new generation of learners.
The Dalal Family Foundation, to further its mission of education, was looking to support an educational effort with high credentials as well as one that provides platform essential for the holistic development of a person- making one "A Learner for Life". After rigorous scrutiny two schools at NMIMS were chosen, one of them being the School of Liberal Arts. In January 2017 the young School of Liberal Arts was named as Jyoti Dalal School of Liberal Arts which offers B.A. (Hons.) Liberal Arts, a 3-year program after grade 12.
Family owned businesses have played a crucial role in the economy of most countries. Much of the retail trade, the small-scale industry, and the service sector are run by family businesses. They employ half the world's workforce and generate well over half of the world's GDP. However, most of the business families face unique management challenges because of the difference in the attitude and aspiration of family members. As new generations join the business, it is an enormous challenge to keep the family and business together.
The School for Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management, established more than a decade ago to assist family owned firms to be in line with professional organizations. The school was named the Pravin Dalal School for Entrepreneurship and Family Business Management in January 2017. The courses offered by the school are:
